The International Courtly Literature SocietyBritish Branch | ||||||||
|
The ICLS exists to promote the study and criticism of the literature of courts and court-oriented cultures, particularly the medieval literature of Western Europe. Membership of the British Branch is open to anyone concerned with the study and/or teaching of courtly literature living or working in Great Britain and Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland or a country that has no ICLS branch (this currently includes Australia and New Zealand). The Branch participates in the Triennial International Congress of the ICLS, organises national meetings in intervening years when there is no international congress, publishes a newsletter and maintains an e-mail discussion list for members. |
